... walls are and the Cathedral, a nice area with the usual restaurants and odd narrow steets. Our guide who had the most peculiar English which was more like Franglais with very odd sentence construction took us into the Cathedral. I had lost the plot by this time and walked around by myself and then waited till the others had gone round with the guide. We came off the tour at this point and ...

... hit 28 degrees with not a cloud in the sky. We disembarked the ship around 12.30 and we were docked right in the town. We had a wander and found where Napoleon was born, took a few pics for Sharon's dad. The town was very bustling and quite nice despite being French !! ... the nicest thunderstorm come through I've seen and heard in years. The lightning was both vertical and horizontal with great booms of thunder. It is pouring outside as I write this. It's been a great day. We will probably walk into town later tonight for dinner. It all depends on if it's pouring or not. Like I've said before these last two islands are more resort islands than we had imagined. So, we aren't getting much exercise but truly enjoying the ...

... viewing the jellyfish that were sheltered in one of the coves. It included a stop at a local beach which looked rather gray and rocky compared to Grand Bend. The tour would have been perfect if only the boat captain (and tour guide) had spoken some English! After our return, we had a picnic lunch overlooking the water in Porto. To wear off some of our lunch we hiked up the hills to the Genoese tower that overlooks Porto, to have a beautiful view of the town. Peter ...
