... beach. Of course Spiros told us we were forbidden to put our hands or feet in the water as we'd be thrown in jail. We then proceeded to do just that!!! Finally, it was time to head back. We drove through the only level land on Corfu, the Ropa Valley, ending in Old Corfu Town before returning to the Cruise Terminal. There were two ships at the harbor in addition to ours; The Viking Star and the Splendour of the Seas. We are so happy to have had such a Beautiful first day in the Greek ...
... and I loved it. It looked like so much fun! They asked for volunteers and I wish that I had been brave enough to get up and try it. It's just such a happy dance.
Joanne and I went to the Explorer's Lounge on Deck 7 to watch the Sail Away at 10:00 p.m.
and then it was lights out.
Tomorrow is a day At Sea and a chance to rest a bit and enjoy the ship.
Oopa! (as the Greeks say. "Rise to the occasion" or "Party On" or "Celebrate")
... great meals, lots of drinks, playing in the casino, and meeting for chats and LCR games. The week passed so quickly we couldn't believe it was time disembark.
We're now in Bruges, Belgium, enjoying Belgian beer, chocolates, and the quaint atmosphere of this UNESCO world heritage city. We'll share picture and stories about Bruges in the following weeks.

... 6 decks through the centrum on a huge chandelier. Met up with our team again and joined at table by 3 young ladies from Uruguay. I had scallops for entree that were so tiny - no bigger then my little finger nail. I have the photo !! After dinner it was a Beatles show. Too tired to continue socialising and the ship was on a bit of a sway. One lady in our team had to retire seasick - she'd never survive Cook ...
