On the train to Barcelona there was a girl travelling with her Guinean pig in a sort of cat cage! She kept feeding it by hand and giving it water and stroking it! On two other train trips we had a gay couple travelling with their cat and a young couple with their cat - they let them half out of the cages and keep patting them and feeding them!

They are all over the bars in every bar in Basque country and they are little tapas, or finger foods. Most of them are small sandwiches, but some are cooked things as well. They wandered up to the old historic centre of town which was about a 20 minute walk from their hotel. They had a light lunch at the Victor Montes cafe in the Nueva Plaza. Once again the beautiful old buildings took their breath away.
They walked back along the river towards the Guggenheim. It certainly is a magnificent building. ...
