May was another month of extensive travel after my tour of South East Asia in April. Travelling around Northern Spain is a very different experience from Cambodia and Vietnam though! ... I think I've just been jaded by all the terrible hostel experiences in Colombia (cockroaches and thieves, mostly), but I forgot that some hostel exist in the world that are clean, quiet, cheap, and have a functioning reception. Who knew?
(Aside: Actually, now that I think about it, the worst hostel that I ever stayed in was in Pisa. By far. Had to sleep on the floor because sheets actually writhing with bed bugs...urgh).
