Not The Top Of The World
... to the next stage...again.....steep....breathtaking views of the valley....the village below is becoming a series of dots.....and the mountains are engulfing you.....we get to the next stage and start walking to what we think is the lift station for the last stage to the top....skiers are wizzing passed us.....some little kids on snowboards look about ten years old and they are all brilliant.....we trudge through the snow like deer and reach the chair ...

Saturday afternoon update
... away until after race tomorrow then the track should be in prime condition. I realizes today why everyone around here smokes! They can buy a pack of cigarettes for €3.70. That's around 4 bucks a pack. As with their dogs, they smoke anywhere. Sitting in a crowd of people and someone will light up. Saturday Morgan update
... with some Aussies. We went to a restaurant up the mountain a fair way. The road was pretty sketchy and mostly single lane. We arrived to much frivolity going on. Turns out there was a wedding and everyone was dressed in traditional dress and having a great time. Our tea was cooked on a 'hat' which was this cone shaped metal thing with hooks on it and was heated by some small burners underneath. You get the meat raw on a plate and hook it onto the little ...
