Day 36 Copenhagen First full day with rain, wind and cold but the walking continued. Rosenberg Castle with several busloads of Danish school kids. The high scool ones were being to cool to notice the rain, the primary were dressed fro the Roaring Forties and eating icecream. We were having hot drinks and sitting in the cafe. Chance to see the Marble Church and Amelienborg Castle (Mary ...
Copenhagen, Zealand, Denmark britt.mark... suppose Slovenian post is much quicker than Italian. I was (and still am) exhausted but felt that since I had access to the computer I should write up one of my last blogs before I hand over complete "blog control" to Angus. He has promised me (and everyone back home) that he will keep us up to date about what is now "his" trip and I hope that he does..... although come exam time I probably do not want to know that Angus is living it up in Ireland hanging out with the locals :) Lots of love and light xx
Helsingør, Denmark reneedm... 2 sauces (Mum's Bolognaise being a massive hit & a tomato, eggplant, mozzarella sauce), garlic bread and birthday cookies. We had a great time preparing the meal and then all the drunks had a great time eating it when they got back. We all went out to a local bar afterwards.

As the bus rolled through the streets of Copenhagen, the only other people who seemed to want to ride were elderly Danes. The great fat tourists generally refused to give up their seats unless shamed. I was worried I might fall and crush one. Then we arrived at the Costa Mediterranea. Your 'just spent $37.50 to post this' pal, Davy
Copenhagen, Zealand, Denmark davy_gam... sign over the side door which Jeff got a picture of , that reads "Please enter here for medicine, but if you don't need any, stay for some wine". It is widely known that Danish king Frederick the 2nd had a weakness for wine and visited this establishment quite often. After a short walk through the city square, she took us to the castle. One thing we saw along the way as crossing one of the moats, was a school of jellyfish. This surprised me a little, for while I ...
Helsingborg, Sweden simru12Denmark July 8 - July 11 Tuesday July 8 Today we arrived in Korsor, Denmark! We were greeted by a band playing music and even a red carpet laid out in front of our gangway. We traveled by bus to the capital of Denmark, Copenhagen. Our tour started at Christiansburg Castle which is where the Parliament resides. It was built in 1167 and is the city's first fortress. A tour was guided by a member of parliament who was more than glad to show ...
Copenhagen, Zealand, Denmark kellyandjess... 79 - Somehow that previous night I lost my Krone. Let me explain: I had one Swedish Krone that a guy had left in a hostel in Rome. A Krone is only worth a 1/9th of a euro so it wasn't a big deal, but this Krone fit perfectly in my money clip and held it tight so none of my paper money could fall out. It had stayed with me this whole time and right at the end of the trip it fell out. I normally could put those kinds of things behind me but I was so tired from sleeping so little that I ...
Copenhagen, Zealand, Denmark tbassplayer... AUD) and this grants you three wishes. Ha! No I'm just messing with all you genies (see once I wrote the word 'grant' it reminded me of genies). In exchange for this 70 krone you receive a badge, which has a little cartoon cat on it, and with this badge you may enter very nearly all of Copenhagen's museums and castles and also parliament, the zoo etc. for a magical evening of intellectual brain enhancement (= the process of acquiring cultural ...
Copenhagen, Denmark lordcool... s conservative government's tough stance on immigration Norrebro is a suprisingly multi-cultural neighborhood comprising many middle-eastern folk and Somalians. Speaking of cool places to live, my mentor, Maj, lives in a 400 year old student housing building with an awesome courtyard and a massive hall for parties. Also she has a madnut view of Rundetarn, or the Round Tower; a huge, old astrological observatory built by some important guy (not me ...
Copenhagen, Denmark lordcool... as the worst of homicides, but the culprits were never found. Luckily the mold of the sculpture was kept and a reproduction was easily made. A remarkable part of Denmark is the freedom of drinking beer in public. All around the old part of town people walk around with beers in their hands. We saw a group of 4 guys walking with a case of beer, sipping away. Another two fellows seemed to have rented bicycles and loaded up the back of them with a case of beer each.
