      Dolomites to Paris

... fries(fancy style) and Ash had spaghetti bolognaise. The dishes were expensive, mine costing about $30 and Ash's costing $25 but what shocked us even more was the €6 each bottle of coke we had with it. That's $18 for two bottle of coke! And no the bottles weren't gold! And no there was no alcohol in the drink either. Massive rip off! Luckily the food was good otherwise I'd have been really spewing! Our last night in Europe. ... I did a big lap of the town, it was -4deg, and had no luck finding the office. After asking for directions a few times and following them in a round about way to no avail then asking for more directions leading me back to the bus stop where ash was waiting I was starting to get a bit frustrated! Eventually we noticed a big Ski Pass sign staring us right in the face across the road from the bus station... If only I ...

... the big monuments in the centre of the city I ventured a little bit further to the Tridente area. This was a slice of paradise and I enjoyed all it had to offer including: - the Spanish steps and at the base the Barcaccia fountain designed by Bernini's father. This was still running on the ancient Roman aqueducts - Piazza Del Popolo which houses a huge Egyptian Oblisk stolen by the Romans - it's one of the last 20 surviving in the world - Church of Santa Maria del ...
