    ... did lots more sightseeing, including visiting the Cathedral where the famous van Eyck painting "The Mystic Lamb" is on display. We hope to be able to return the favour when Michael next comes to Perth.
    We have now arrived in Amsterdam by train, so stay tuned to our adventures from here (our hotel is in the read light district and marihuana fumes are all around us).

    Alarms sounding at an ungodly hour, we sleepily rolled out of bed to begin our journey to Belgium. After our last cheese buffet breakfast, we made our way to Amsterdam Centraal to catch our connecting train to Rotterdam Centraal. Once there, another train was to take us over the border to Antwerp, Belgium. This may sound like an ordeal, but these countries are ridiculously close together so the journey took only 2 hours in total, and through lovely Belgian countryside ...

    Anyway, still feeling the effects of our last night/morning in Amsterdam, we bowled around the classic sightseeing spots with as much efficiency as we could muster in our hazy state. That perhaps explains why Antwerp seemed particularly pretty to us, however I think its traditional yet quirky charm goes beyond that.
