... felt about this, i felt the same level of guilt given that caramel had gone to all that trouble of buying me these bars. so i ate it, all of it, every little piece.... yuck! i think it took more energy to eat it then it gave to me. oh well...
so i made it to Poitiers by around 5:30 had a three course meal to celebrate today's efforts. Rest day tomorrow and if Poitiers is ok i think i will have another day off after that too.

A short 20km walk to boente
... bar/restaurant was all managed by one person and we were fed his speciality at a discount rate as we had the children. His choice was chicken and chips with vegetable soup which was probably his choice as it was the easiest. He stopped cooking for us when we said we had had enough. We had the albergue to ourselves and after a few solarsombres(aniseed and brandy) headed to bed for a peaceful nights ...
Chateaux of the Loire II
... the doors were still locked and the bread delivery from the boulangerie was still sitting on the doorstep!?! Not a good way to run a business. We were more patient/persistent than several other couples who had peered in the window – thus, dinner for two.
A little stroll across the river and we enjoyed a nightcap, live music and the best view of the Chateau Amboise. Sweet ...

... beloved whisky until goodness knows what time! Today Thursday we had a drive round and found a lovely big lake in the middle of nowhere, which was so peaceful, there was even camping there. Vic went back in the afternoon to fish but arrived back to say it wasn't that good and now he wants to move on tomorrow morning.
