... as with cats like to perch up high so there were also some nests in the grass and other convenient places. I realised I had never seen seagull chicks before. totally unremarkable compared with other baby birds buy interesting none the less. We had some Kiwis staying with us in the small apartments so someone new to chat to over drinks and dinner. They were managing to drive vast distances and double back as they went places on a whim. Not quite how we are doing it. ...

Good morning and brekky with Sabine and waved them off then we hit the road headed north east for the coast taking the Mountain road.

It was mountainous and treacherous with steep cliff edges and no guard rails. So I spent much of the time trying not to have a mess on my britches and got my buddy to slow and not hug our side of the road unless we saw another car. Petrified. Sort of like a thrill ride but ...

better word) a rather awkard night with the swell rolling in ever so
gently which reminded us of Alderney and Dale (Pembrokeshire) where
we would roll and come to an abrupt halt with a squeak of the ropes
and the rub of the fenders against the pontoon (except in Alderney
where there was no pontoon just an abrupt halt). At least we got a
decent sail in the day before and did not have to pay for the berth.

    A Coruna to Luaca

Found our way out way easier than our way in. Planned to drive the seaside route all the way to Luarca. Almost did but gave up for the last little bit and succumbed to the ease of the new motorway. Driving into Luarca is refreshing. You are back in time to a small fishing village, very unchanged. Sitting in a tight cove with narrow street. Our hotel ...
