... reality - a much older crowd - and still no sign of the poor Spaniard. This lot spend most of their time cleaning the kitchen table...wish they spent a bit more time cleaning themselves. Think it's the Slovenians but don't know the Slovenian for 'do you need a hand working the shower'. Also it's 7:55 and three of them have gone to bed! Might have to go back to the Aussies tomorrow... Love to all ...

A 100% guaranteed faith free blog! Early start today. Woke up at 3am to find the nice Spanish man with the unpronounceable name in the bunk next to me had gone (God works in very mysterious ways) and the Frenchman in another bunk snoring/snuffling loudly. Whether he was simply digesting the Spaniard I don't know but I then couldn't sleep. Tried paper in the ears, then continuing reading ************* my iPhone but even that didn't get me to ...

Starting walking at 8:30 and headed up the mountain. Very long uphill walk. Got to the top at about 3,000 ft. Felt pleased with ...

... there for the walk and Pilgrims (P) who are searching for something. The Ps are interesting, the Ws less so. Joe (P). 24, lives in Torquay and works at a NHS pharmacy in procurement. Nice young man, gentle and rather serious. He is walking because he has never been away from home and has a fear of travel, hostels and being away from home (his home bed is 'so comfortable'). So to the astonishment of his parents & brother he wanted to see if he could do it. He flew ...

... Of course I get on with everyone (out here!) but there seem to be a few frictions in the camp (shades of get me out of here...) The problem seems to be some of the overly keen pilgrims, the ones who walk 1,000 km, cook at 5pm, bed by 8pm, up at 6:30 and first to the next albergue to bag the best bed. Clearly this, and being told to be quiet at 8pm as others were trying to sleep, was concerning to some. I see the problem - some of these people, with strange kit and ...
