... wasn't a safety mechanism. No margin for error and not a chance in hell of a corrective move.

But scenery............spectacular. Took us until around 3pm to hit the coast. Lunch in the mountains. Saw lots of villages below and passed through a lot of small villages. Lots of rocky places, large pines and spectacular gorges and rivers. Very few places to get off and have a look but took the opportunities while ...

Found our way out way easier than our way in. Planned to drive the seaside route all the way to Luarca. Almost did but gave up for the last little bit and succumbed to the ease of the new motorway. Driving into Luarca is refreshing. You are back in time to a small fishing village, very unchanged. Sitting in a tight cove with narrow street. Our hotel ...

Today I'm in Bodenaya after a short walk from Salas. Needed to give my feet a rest. More difficult walk than previous camino. So far have had some very stiff climbs, today 420m up, but think it will be easier for a bit after this. Weather has been mixed but mostly good, sometimes cloudy and cool, which is comfortable for walking. Scenery is great.
Have met some interesting people. A ...
