We stopped at the port of Corfu. The only way to really get around the island is to take an excursion. At least it was for us. We were going to see a Monastery in the village of Palaiokastritsa and to the village of Gastouri to visit the 19th century Achilleion Palace.
The places were very beautiful and again the excursions didn't disappoint ...

From there we were informed by an excited gentleman that the, you guessed it, bus to Athens was leaving in a couple of minutes. Hurry hurry hurry! Getting from Patras to Athens was not something I'd planned. After just about managing to stay on my feet for the greeting, we wondered over to the hostel. What the next few days were going to hold was going to be immense! It was like playing a video game. Before, I was wondering round and seeing all these bars and restaurants that were out of bounds. But now it ...

... There is even a nice restaurant up there in the castle, which is beautifully done. There are also some old artillery pieces and bunkers as well along with cows, goats and sheep. Its all happening. Artan drops me back at the hotel just after 12.30. I pay him and say goodbye to my personal taxi.

After a break I wander into Sarande again. The bazaar is on today so I wander in and have a look around. Mainly produce on sale but always ...
