    With no real fixed plan for the day, we enjoyed a very leisurely morning. After a light breakfast at our B&B we set out to catch the bus to take us to the Marina di Revanna a visit to the Adriatic Sea. In the courtyard of our B&B we ran into the owner and discussed our plans for the day. He suggested we ride bikes, of which he had several to borrow for the day.     We woke to a sunny day in Italy today. After breakfast at the hotel in Verona we set out for Ravenna. Ravenna is about hundred miles Southeast of Verona. The drive out of Verona was a bit tricky and took awhile to manage with all the construction in town.

    The drive to Ravenna was relaxing as traffic in the highways was fairly light and the drive went quickly. We found our accommodations in Ravenna with little problem. ...

    ... This cathedral is up there with York Minister. A good experience and very well maintained.

    I mooched around the shops a little. It is odd because there are the high end Prada, Louis Vitton, Gucci etc shops which are just unafforable for normal people and then there were the Glasson equivalents. There didn't seem to be anything in between.

    ... which is near the coast and went to check out the beach. For miles there are perfect rows of beach chairs all belonging to different clubs that you have to rent to lie on the beach. They seemed to stretch forever. It was very strange to see as we dont have that in NZ and a bit eerie as it was the evening and the beach was nearly empty!
