... stop for me is Villa Carlotta which is a villa and a lovely garden. 9 euro. Back in the boat to Bellagio. Another beautiful town. I have lunch here. I have a buffet which is disappointing. Great breakfast at hotel- meats, cheese, bread, cereal, brioche, dehydrated scrambled egg(ok). Metro to Duomo €1.50 any trip, big square, heaps tourists, African giving away free wrist bands. Church was amazing. Oner 100 towers and very ornate carvings. Took hundreds of years to build. Interior as impressive as Notre Dame but a bit rundown. Walked to Castille- another impressive ...

... most associated with the area, and the one everyone secretly wants to bump into, is George Clooney. George has a villa down the lake from where we were staying in the direction of Como. The owner of our hotel had seen him on a couple of occasions riding a Harley Davidson. So now we know who has been disturbing our peace and quiet with the revving of his motor bike. 'Keep the noise down, George. We’ve come here for some peace and quiet and could do ...
