... water. We saw a lot of interesting things and buildings like palaces and many other things that the person rowing would tell us about. We liked the gondola ride a lot and were annoyed when we saw the place we were going to get of at. We started walking again and found a gelato place were we got a gelato. I got chocolate and my mum said that we should play a game where you have to keep the I've cream of your clothes. We all succeeded at the game and found a man that was giving ...

... the square and dodged the street vendors trying to sell us glowing helicopter pods and roses. Afterward, we caught the vaparetto back to our hotel at the top of the fish and we're back here for the night. We had another beautiful day in Venice. I'm sad we're leaving tomorrow. So it's up and away. After breakfast downstairs that is. So many similarities to France, the croissants, the ...

... a beautiful black yacht probably four storeys high with a swimming pool and spa on the top deck (as we all gazed down on it - speculating how the other half live!!), docked on the water as we came in. It was called Phoenix 2 and it was magnificent! There were thousands of boats of all kinds and if you looked close and long enough you could see a kind of order emerge amongst the chaos as each vessel steered clear of one another on their side of the canal like a road with ...

Venice - the city of bridges!

It's just uncanny how Cory and I always seem to match our travel days to those that are rainy and uninviting. That was how it was this morning when we woke at 4.45am (yes people I did voluntarily rise at this time - maybe have a sip of water right now to help you get over the shock) to catch the bus to Venice train station. We are now merrily chugging away on the train towards Croatia, presently somewhere in Slovenia where the sun is finally shining. The mountains ...
