    ... to an authentic/traditional Firenze apartment is going to be a bit of a let-down.     In 1866, after Venice became part of unified Italy, the palace passed to the House of Savoy. In 1919, Victor Emmanuel III, king of Italy, handed it over to the State for use by the Ministry of Education. In 1920, part of the building was used to house the Museo Archeologico Nazionale, and then in 1922 another area became home to the Museo Correr.     ... to Zaccaria, which slowly made its way along the Grand Canal. We lunched at the same restaurant. The owner serving us an aperitif for returning and finished the meal again with lemoncello!     ... quant. Not what I had expected for an award winning restaurant but it was really nice. We had a fantastic seafood meal which they buy fresh from the fish market in the morning and design their menu accordingly for lunch and dinner. We met a nice couple who were sitting next to us, Sofia and Bassam.
