... before WW2 and survived the bombing there because it was moved back to Zittau. Soviet soldiers then found it & used it to line the cabin of their sauna/bathhouse and when they left it was found by an old man who returned it to the museum. It was then ignored until 1989 and the dissolution of the GDR, when the new director of the museum found all the fragments and pieced them together. The central part was ...

We attempted to leave at 430am but it was a bit of a struggle. In the end we left at 5am and hit the roads to the slopes! Marc assured us that he knew the way. However about half way through he happened to have a few issues with his 3d maps. Apparently Poland replaced Germany. Hmmm that's awkward... We made it to the border at least, and continued through Poland and onto Northern Czech Republic. We reached liberec at about 9am and stopped for a coffee. It was ...

... out ;). After wandering the city we went to a little Italian restaurant called Alla Stella Nera a short ways away from Charles' Bridge. I had bruschetta and a 4 cheese penne that was to die for. As much as I enjoyed Czech food it was nice to have a break from red meat and dumplings. After dinner we did a little bit more shopping and headed back to the bus. And after a 13 hour bus ride I am back in Copenhagen preparing for my next adventure! Pictures from my camera to come shortly. Next stop: Paris! ...
