After a hearty home cooked breakfast by Kendra Chris & I headed off alone as Mel wanted a day of easier roads & to visit a small castle, Frank was hostage! We decided to take the most scenic route to Rifle. We were soon among 10 other Harley's heading towards the 65 which was a scenic route through Adobe wilderness. However as we turned …

... are very very glad we did it....thanks Sarah and Josh for the recommendation!!

Once we came back down, we were in Aspen and it was 1pm so we decided to have a late lunch. Whilst driving around to find parking, Darren glimpsed down a street and saw a bear!! I guess it's not too uncommon to have bears around but by the time we could turn around safely, it was long gone.

Aspen reminded me a bit of Banff, cute little ski/snowboard town with lots of hikes in the summer.

Unfortunately, I did not realize how high up Aspen is (2400m above sea level) and once we started our hike at Maroon Bells, I felt quite dizzy and tired. Turns out I must have had some sort of altitude sickness at 3000m above sea level... That happened on our hike in Santa Fe as well.. well, now I know :)

I recovered quickly and finished the hike at least...
