Andrzejjjj ... essen!!

... we were back on the plane headed for London. It was sad for Anita's relatives throughout this trip. They hadn't seen her for 10 years (some had never met her) and weren't sure when they'd see her again. One thing i'd learnt along the way was Polish families are close, so to say goodbye to her was a tear jerking moment. What wasn't so tear jerking was the flight back. I was impressed with W!zz...even if they do spell their name with an exclamation mark!

Jelenia Gora & Magical Mountains

... Mountains is part of the larger Sudetes range. Its highest peak is Sniezka which stands on the border between the Poland and Czech Republic - at a height of 1602 meters above sea level. The mountains are wonderful for trekking and ski. Large areas of the mountains are preserved as National Park.

Czech'in it all out

We crossed into the Czech Republic and decided to follow the country along the mountains that border Germany in the north, there seemed a few national parks and nice driving routes along the way so we just hoped it was a quite area and we could just relax and explore. We have been to Prague a couple of times its a great city probably one of our favorite in Europe but this time we just decided to stick to the countryside and see a bit more of life out of the city ...

al the former eastern bloc countries make for good travel,, but the one that i return to is the czech republic,, mainly to the north [north bohemia],liberec, harrochov, cesky raj, but a trip or two to moravia is also worth taking,,. during the communist times it was an eye opener, now also as the people wish for the return of those times, they knew where their bread was coming from, and the upgrades fron old skoda to super fast motorcars,, ah they stilll are crazy on the roads

... of pleasure, prayer, and balance in life. Hornet Flight by Ken Follet An espionage-action novel set in WWII Denmark by the author of Pillars of the Earth. A pretty eclectic mix, which is how I like it. I actually NEED to re-read the Chesterton because it was such a paradoxical page turner that I am still trying to wrap my head around it. Still, I look forward to Krakow in a few days and the promise of some new reading material.

back in Poland!!!!!!!

... of the journey we did by a payable way of transportation. Ahh, again, we made thousands of km, mostly via hitchhiking! We did something impossible (hitchhiking in Greece), met individuals that showed us how to not judge people from their look (the Greek monk, the Bosnian family), we saw gorgeous places, but also the places making us concerned; we travelled through 10 countries and like 6 capitals. We spent so much ...

Sniezka, Wang and Ksiaz

After my longest stretch of work without a break, I was glad when the May day holiday finally came around. It was a year earlier that I took advantage of the sunny skies to do some hiking in the Tatra mountains, although it was to be a different mountain range this time around. For the first time, I was to head south west into the heart of the Karkonosz mountains, a range made up of predominantly spruce forest, with dwarf mountain pines and alpine vegetation fading away above 1250m to ...

(JENN- in my defence we are totally out of clothes, Rob has no knickers (day 2 for today's garments) and is down to his last shirt so its make or break time. Rob is ...

Just let anyone try to deny the cultural value of Smurfs - we'll draw the line in the sand right here. =) A short two hours of bus time brought me to Jelenia Gora - my most familiar stop of this whole trip. I come here once or twice a year, so I'm now in my usual little internet cafe ...
