... down we were quite glad to take the opportunity to slip away and get an early night!
Monday was beach day! We were up bright and early to hit the road to Kuantan with Kah Peng, Kah Fong (Peng's older sister) and my cousin May. Fong bravely allowed Dan to drive her BMW, and I was very happy to trundle along behind in Peng's little blue 'baby' and catch up with May a bit on the way to the beach. ... boat (3h :s) up to the Mutiara Resort and take the bus back (its faster and one Jetty experience of 3h is quite enough... ;))... And then... drive another 5 hours I guess to get to Cameron Highlands...
I will not update while I'm in Taman Negara, simply because they don't have internet... How bad, but that's just what it is. You'll be able to read my stories once Im at Cameron Highlands... ...
While it is still daylight, I pass an outside place with tables set up and a food stall. I ask the man about food. He calls a boy over that speaks some English, but not much.
"Food?", I ask.
"No rice", he says.
"Noodles?", I ask.
He looks puzzled.
"No cook," he says.
Now, I understand. He is saying they are closed for the day and not cooking anymore. I smile and thank the boy and head down the street.
... were able to get really good Indian food which we had almost every night. On the first day we took a walk through the town and up to the botanical gardens. This was a nice day and we saw lots of monkeys and even a monitor lizard. The next day we went to Penang National Park. This was a brilliant day. ... to do so then we can head to Port Dickson and spend one night there instead of putting up in Melaka. So, with the hope that the temple closes at 9.30PM, we headed to Cheng and it was not an easy route. With the aid of the GPS, we reached the temple which was situated in the industrial area of Cheng. Unfortunately, the temple was closed and we were utterly disappointed. There was a contact number available on the temple’s signboard ...
