While it is still daylight, I pass an outside place with tables set up and a food stall. I ask the man about food. He calls a boy over that speaks some English, but not much.
"Food?", I ask.
"No rice", he says.
"Noodles?", I ask.
He looks puzzled.
"No cook," he says.
Now, I understand. He is saying they are closed for the day and not cooking anymore. I smile and thank the boy and head down the street.
... They really are worth a look. We spent the evening walking around them and the park at their base and as the night came we watched the towers light up and enjoyed the fountain light show. It was nice and relaxing which is what we needed.The next day we packed up again and headed off to a place called Penang which is a little island off the North West coast of Malaysia. ... a taxi and went over to Oriental Village on the other side of the island. Our first stop was a huge waterfall with pools to swim in below. We spent several hours here, and the pools of water cured my hangover immediately. We then made our way into the village for a quick lunch and a off road segway tour.
