We actually wanted to get dropped off at Butterworth, 4.30am we arrived, awesome. We hoped to catch the train into Thailand but the station didn't open till 7am. We ended up getting poached and agreed to a minivan.

... it was worth it when we got the the national park and did a canopy walk through the jungle. We decided only to stay for the day and head back to catch the night train further north to Kota Barhu then onto the local bus and lastly a boat to take us out to the Perhentian Islands. For me it would be my 3rd visit there and Tony's 2nd, Lee and Ali's 1st.
