... whining attack. I do feel terrible about it now since Josette (my wonderful grandma) spent hours planning on accommodating 40 Streiff/Bisson/Vonderscher members into her house. Turns out, eating with <10 year olds does have its benefits: they don't talk about boring stuff such as politics, and the kids always leave the yummy food aside. It was like Thanksgiving had come early!

... l'exposition de l'artiste Jean Prouvé qui est assez, euh comment dire... special, lol Par la suite, ils m'amene chez les soeurs Macarons ou on achete bien sur des macarons et des bergamottes, deux trucs tres typiques de Nancy. On termine notre promenade dans la ville et ont repart pour Liverdun. Je goutte au fameux paté Lorrain qui est excellent! Encore une fois, on se couche tard! Demain direction Bussang!

... qu'en Lorraine! Nous revenons par la suite a Liverdun pour le souper. Marie-Rose nous prepare une bonne quiche Lorraine. Je goute a beaucoup de bouffe typique de la Liverdun et des environs : les madeleines de Liverdun, les mirabelles, paté de foie aux mirabelles, vin du domaine Lelievre et aussi un apero a la liqueur de mirabelles. We were also impressed by the German Imperial Quarter - these buildings result from a period when Kaiser Wilhelm II was asserting that the city was under German control (after the 1871 Franco-Prussian War). As for modern buildings, the white billoughing Pompidou-Metz is a dramatic scene.
