... place called Oliva parked up just behind the sand dunes and no high rise in sight. Flat enough for us to go on some good bike rides. This week we have experienced 25 degrees and 14 degrees which is at least better than the UK and the floods there!

But seriously, you can see how poor old Benidorm would have been charming in its day, with two very long, sandy beaches that stretch for over 6 km, and enough surf, sand and sun to make any beachcomber sorry it sold its soul to the devil...package tourism, with such sad consequences...

After we were finished at the hotel, we had beer and ice cream at another hotel's bar near the beach and took a few photos by the beach. I found the beach in Benidorm to be very blue and clean. The only people on the beach this time of year were English since the Spanish find it too cold after August mainly.

... and spent some time in my room , playing with photos and getting the phone charged again, I stepped out into the street at nine and it was alive, the orange glow of light and buzz of Spanish people enjoying their food, I walked though the street and settled on a café at the end of the street that led into a square.
