This morning we docked outside of San Remo, Italy. Fifty kilometers east of Monte Carlo lies San Remo, Italy, a sun-dappled Mediterranean resort with a casino, spectacular villas, and Riviera-style grandeur. Beyond the manicured lawns and bell hotels, San Remo hides a little visited old town, a labyrinth of twisting lanes that cascade down ...

We did not go into this museum but kept walking past to the large Florence city square where the white marble copy of the David statue, together with many other statues, were on display. FThe original white marble statue of David was removed to protect its integrity from decay. We walked even further to another large square where a huge coloured cathedral stood. I couldn't help wondering what sort of jelly fish it was and whether we we would be dead in 7 minutes - so a little panicky! Found our way back to town and to a restaurant where they were very nice and gave us ammonia to rub on and a big bag of ...

... very yellowy. We got to Venice at about 930 and immediately went across the street to get pizza. IT WAS AMAZING. Pizza will never taste the same, I swear. After that we took a taxi to our hotel. We always get so nervous pulling up to our hotels, each time we cross our fingers hoping that it's not too sketchy! But we lucked out again, and it even has breakfast and is close to the metro, wahoo! We washed our clothes in the bathtub and crawled into bed for the ...
