The Yatra or trek up the hill is a fairly strenuous climb. It is between 12 to 14 km and generally pretty steep throughout. You can rent a pony or even a palanquin to take you up. An early start this morning, like 4am, so I could go to the Golden Temple one more time and get some pictures at dawn. Then off to the bus station to catch a bus to Jammu; from there on to Srinagar tomorrow is my plan. There isn't much else of interest in Amritsar to keep me here and it's a typical Indian city in that it is overcrowded, noisy, dirty and polluted.

There isn't anything worth seeing ...
