    The whole road to Zadar was actually rather boring and by the time I got near there I was wishing I had just taken the m/way.

    A few miles south of Zadar the satnav is telling me to turn right and so I pulled over to see what it was playing at. I put in a slight diversion and that was so I could go see that mighty old steel bridge over a massive cutting above the waters of the Adriatic.

    ... we had views of enormous mountains and on the left the beautiful water. We arrived in Split around 1.30pm and had no idea where to go. We decided to just hop in a cab. He drove us about 5 minutes and then said he couldn't go any further as cars weren't allowed. He gave us some good directions to our accommodation and we found it very easily.     ... had a lovely meal tonight (some of the best food we have had in Croatia) and then went for a walk around the town. Tonight is our last night in croatia a tomorrow we head off to Italy.

    This country is gorgeous and we have loved every minute of it. For anyone who has a travel bucket list - put it up towards the top!
