Senj, Croatia. In a previous life, as a Geography teacher, each cycle we learnt about “local winds” and glibly trotted off examples such as…. The Bora! Well, it deserves more respect. After a halcyon evening and burnt orange sunset we were woken by gale force winds rocking the cradle (Bo) and they continued through the night and into the next morning. Then it stopped. The sun ...

... stomachs at the top! We did the swing twice and the second time still jolted me! Then I did the static zorb. This was 3 metal rings that I was strapped inside, like the Di Vinci man. The instructor swung me round and I tumbled head over heels wondering which way was up. This made me super dizzy and I felt slightly sick. Finally the pizza arrived and we had lunch. It was super good pizza. After lunch we returned to the courses and did my favourite ...

The final course was 10 metres high but felt about twice that height when you were up ...

Today we headed to a small village close to our villa where there is an awesome high ropes centre. First we had to get our harnesses on and be shown how to use the carabiners. It all seemed quite easy so we set off on the basic course. This one was 2 metres high. The was a tightrope, a short zip line, a net bridge and a wooden rickety bridge. After this we moved on to the intermediate course ...

It's good to be beside the sea!

... br> The excitement of being at the seaside and the slow realisation that the dream is now becoming reality, was cause for celebration with a special glass of wine. A gift from friends in Poland!
The sea is still cold although that has not deterred Dave from the odd plunge!
The wind overnight was fierce but has now dropped and it's quite beautiful.
    We are SO lucky!
