... today it just was not the same. Just as I said earlier, am I getting bored with great scenery or is it simply the weather.
I did stop on a number of occasions for photos but the light was not good.
The speed on this road is not fast as one can imagine and it passes through a number of small towns to which many of them have wonderful little stone piers built out of natural stone which look really beautiful.

... but hey it was spacious and clean. The young chap that checked us in gave us a map and directions into the old town. We settled into our room and then headed out to find some food, we were starving! The old town was only about a 5 minute walk away and we found it easily. We got lunch just outside the Iron Gate that takes you into old town at a place called NoStress cafe. We got some club sandwiches with a side of chips and some drinks. ... scenery...well, at that speed I was not going to look around. I did stop a few times either due to fatigue or refuelling or to take a few pictures.
I got into Rijeka in peak hour and had to deal with the heavy traffic but once out of the suburbs it wasn't long before I reached Opatia.

... had a lovely meal tonight (some of the best food we have had in Croatia) and then went for a walk around the town. Tonight is our last night in croatia a tomorrow we head off to Italy.
This country is gorgeous and we have loved every minute of it. For anyone who has a travel bucket list - put it up towards the top!

... 6 miles and dropped anchor in Prklog which was a lovely long inlet totally protected with just one other boat. It felt like we could have been in a Swiss forest some where as there were so many tall pine trees. Needless to say storms arrived after midnight and we find ourselves playing scrabble at 4am in the morning ...
