Rest and Relaxation

... Scouting out our lounge chairs we decide to go to the ocean beach first.

Armed with only towels we head to the beach. The first sign says ‘Due to extreme currents and high waves, swimming not recommended’. Well, we weren’t planning on actually swimming, just checking out the beach. We keep going. Off the sidewalk and onto the sand. Hmmm...forgot how damn HOT the sand can get. Especially in 102F ...

short notes of the day

From the ship we boarded a bus for a tour of the city. It took us around the bay
of the city. Then a Short street to the Pacific side where the
Cliff divers are. We were able to shop for about 30 minutes, then went through the la brea hotel to
look at the cliff where the divers jump from ...

The museums, the bordom, the welcome farewell

... Jag förföljde en grupp japaner ett tag och kom till slutsatsen att dom faktiskt inte hade någon kamera.

The next few days I went to a couple of museums. I went to where Trotsky (Lenin´s sidekick) lived and took photos of his bathroom and his desk where he got the icepick in his head. I looked in vain after some blood residues to add some photographic effect.
I ...

Acapulco - Still Number One?

... not to the exterior but to the interior court of the six-story hotel. Was that not a little periscope-like device coming through the window with a little mirror attached to the end of it?

There are times when you see something and it takes a few hesitating moments to compute. There was something wrong with this picture. Barbara bare naked in the shower and some device with a little mirror on the end aimed at her naked body protruding through the ...

A good base for visiting Acapulco

Just accommodation for now...........

Accommodation

Acapulco has simply two halves: the old town, which is where you will find the budget hotels, and to the east, the resort area, a string of fine hotels lining the Bahia de Acapulco. A simple Google search will list many of these hotels so I won't recommend any. If you ...

Acapulco - Home of the Love Boat

... why the Love Boat has set sail and not returned for many years now. The highlight of the day is definitely the Cliff Divers; impressively diving off a cliff face into the surging water below, they make it look so easy. As night sets in the city takes on a whole different look and feel and actually has a great vibe. Still I'm looking forward to the bus trip out of here tomorrow morning.

Preparing the next step

... done and I spend the rest of the day at the pool, my cold is getting worse. In the evening we take a beetle to downtown and have a meal at the Carlos and Charlies a very cute chain of resto´s, will come back to it. The beetle ride home is unbelievable, I did not think we would survive: craaaaaaazy. I close my eyes all the time. Nobody hears me coughing because of the loud music in the car. Alarm clock at 06. It is a dog´s life.

Olympic Races at the Grand Mayan

... After that streak of good luck, the boys, Chris, and I teamed up for water olympics with some new friends at the Grand Mayan Resort. Our red team, led by captain Mike, won the very competitive games of kayaking, balloon popping, pool ball, and screaming contests to take home the "Corona" trophy. It was a fun day at the pool!
