... of the Paleo Frourio, an old Venetian fort. That was pretty cool. Then, late this afternoon we went through the Archaeological Museum. We didn't spend much time here since it was close to closing time and we were all tired from the water park.

That evening though we ate at our first authentic Greek taverna, we found one playing Greek music ...
Corfu, Ionian Islands, Greece mylifesjourney... eating red onions. I know. I don't know what is happening. I can't figure it out.

Suffice it to say, I'm having a grand time. I've met some really nice folks around my age from the dinners. And there are all sorts of older couples that have taken a liking to me. And I see them all around the ship and they wave at me and ask how I'm enjoying the day just like best friends. They include the French couple I met when we were trying to find the right shuttle bus to the ...
Corfu Town, Ionian Islands, Greece josiezim... the gym hence leaving Robyn and Olivia play copious card games together. We seem to be in the dining room all the time and the food is fabulous. Chris helped himself to the bottle of water on the table, the first night at dinner, only to find later that it is priced like gold and had been purchased by the guests we shared the table with. They must have thought us real plebs.

Our first stop was Corfu and the weather, fabulous and warm. Walked ...
Corfu Town, Ionian Islands, Greece sewtersojourns... It was nice to see Katy and Sarah they are both lovely girls and really fun. This is where we would be spending the evening it was an overnight boat and should take 8 hours I was not impressed that I would be spending the evening ...

Corfu, Ionian Islands, Greece traceybelle... they'll get to put in the windows etc. It has potential to be a pretty resort type town but for now I think a lot of work needs to be done to finish the job. We strolled along the promenade and we thought what a pity it wasn't established yet. Money seems to be the answer. The photo on my welcome page is the ship at Sarande.
Sarande, Albania costa07... stayed behind with her patchwork. At first a winding road led past tavernas and cafes overlooking the bay of Ipsos. Private villas became the norm for the next mile or two as the road, climbing ever higher, snaked up in a series of switchbacks and hairpin bends. The countryside was pure olive groves at this height, with black nets spread out at the base of the trees.

Soon the villas became less in evidence. I decided to stop and look down on the bay from a ...
Corfu, Greece jasonhep... him for a 'nip'. NONE of this was said in English.....it was all body language.

Dennis and I did as instructed, and joined him. He poured us wine that he had made, and then opened a can of 'tuna salad' for us to eat. He was the sweetest, cutest little old man I've ever met. We all sat there 'talking'....and laughing for the next hour. Language wasn't important....kindness was.

Finally, we said farewell to our newfound ...
