... for customers to sample. Gabe enjoyed a now infamous fifa session.
Having cut short on the fifa, we retreated for an early night before our early wake-up to go diving a few hours south west of Tokyo, on the Izu peninsula. After meeting our diving instructors at Shinjuku station, we drove down to our spot. The route, on a clear day, is stunning by the way. We had a fantastic view of the spectacular Fuji-san which dominates.

Using information gleaned from our Japan by rail guidebook we made our way to Mishima station by bullet train in order to get as close as we could for a good view of Mount Fuji. This time we actually saw it from the train and also got a good view from the bus over to Motohakone. The waitress came with a big botlle of sake and poured it in so that it overflowed both the glass and the cup and so we ended up with about three glasses of sake where we were expecting one. :-P Both the food and the sake were delicious. After finishing our meal we went back to the hostel and after the last beer said our goodbyes and i went to ...

... offcourse. ;-) I left the museum and headed on to Ito, my final destination for today. I tried to work some more on my blog but actually i slept most of the time onboard the Shinkansen. After a brief stopover at Atami i took the local Ito-line train. This train has really big panoramic windows on one side of the train and the seats are rotated almost 90 degrees so you get a spectacular view of the Izu coast. Unfortunately it had started to rain at this time so ...
