A la chasse aux tortues
Mon objectif : voir des tortues pondre sur la plage. On fait donc les 3 plages contiguës d'Itsamia. Ces dames pouvant prendre leur temps pour creuser les trous, il faut s'armer de patience et ne surtout pas les effrayer sinon elles retournent à l'eau illico.
Ce qui est intéressant, c'est que l'on peut voir ce phénomène toute l'année, mais s'il y a des périodes où l'on voit plus de tortues.

Comores
J'ai cru que je n'y arriverai pas, au moment d'enregistrer à l'aéroport, un groupe d'expatrié loue l'avion en entier et modifie le planning. Je devrai attendre toute la matinée avant que l'avion ne revienne.
L'avion n'est qu'un petit avion à hélice, mais cela à un avantage: on vole bas et donc on peut voir le lagon de Mayotte de près.

The Comoros is freaking expensive. Really nice, but crazy expensive. The only way I would come back is with lots of money. Examples: Zanzibar: for 20 bucks Rose and I get a double room with fans, mosquito nets, water elecricity, and a nice roof top terrace from which we enjoy our free giant breakfast in the mornings. Madagascar: for about 9 bucks Rose and I get a double bed in a bungalow surrounded with sand, with fan, mosquito net, open shower but hey there ...
Boating misery

Time to leave the Comoros Islands
... s narrow roads, blaring music and yelling in support of one of the 18 presdiential candidates. Note that there's at most 350,000 people on this island, but 18 presidential candidates. So, we spent our time going on long walks, swimming in the ocean (still hasn't gotten old), reading (I'm currently caught up in a secondhand copy of "The Devil Wears Prada" in French.
