... right around the castle. Toyotomi began the construction of the castle in 1583. After his death, the political control moved to the Tokugawa's and the castle fell during the summer war in 1615. Reconstruction began in 1620 but the main tower was destroyed by lightning in 1665. The main tower has since been rebuilt and now houses the museum that I went to visit. Doors close for the flight to the goldcoast there's a spare seat beside us, fantastic! This is how it's supposed to go. ... xx metres in the sky which takes you to the top. Look at the pictures as too complicated to explain! The views from the top were awesome. Even better was the fact that there was a Christmas market at the bottom, so we were able to enjoy the most expensive cup of mulled wine in the world. It was also way cooler than the petronas towers that we visited in Kuala Lumpur a few days later.

We also found an excellent okonomiyaki restaurant ...
