    ... choice and decent prices for a theme park . Salad was out choice today. !!! The rides coming down on inflatable boats were amazing, some on your own, some in pairs , just hope I am not too sunburnt tomorrow !! Some of the rides were hair-raising - the one in the dark was special with sudden drops and water suddenly squirted at you !!! The final one of the day was a one man toboggan type ride in which you shot off the end ...

    ... ice creams sitting on the steps of a bridge, visited the Rialto and admired the Grand Canal. After much pestering from the girls we succumbed to the pressure and tuned up for 'O Solo Mio' on a gondola ride; it was superb, so peaceful and quiet as we took in the back 'streets' - unforgettable.     ... of campsites and even boasts the 'best campsite in Europe' at the 4* Jesolo International - it's an 'all inclusive' campsite (but not food) and is around €100 a night! We checked our guide and found a nice one, small with only 150 pitches, pool, beach, shop etc. it is part of a larger one next door (3000 pitches!) but is recommended for families with younger children who want some peace & quiet ...

    ... the sea which was about 10 metres from our balcony. Piran is one of the jewels of the coastline for Slovenia. It only has a coast of about 40kms. This city was once ruled by the Venetian empire so there is a lot of Venetian influence especially in the small narrow cobbled streets and lanes.
    The sea looked so inviting that Rami actually christened the boardies. I got in up to my knees but that was far enough. The water was about 23 degrees.
