    ... and wanted to visit. It was a very well preserved, moated and bastioned town with inhabitation going back to pre-Roman times. We parked outside the walls, as you can't drive in, and walked to Santi Giovanni e Reparata, next to the Duomo.     ... a covered marquee by the clock tower/castle which offered amazing views and the gate was open so we moved there instead. The girls spent the night dancing to music while the boys chatted and attempted to film the girls dancing but it was to dark. Come midnight we headed down to the main street where a live band was playing which they do every Fri and Sat so we stayed and listened until the packed up around 12.15.     We took a bus trip to the Cinque Terre. It's a small cliffside grouping of five towns that are on the Mediterranean.

    The bus left at 8am, we arrived at the bus terminal at 8am. They held the bus for us and we ran a couple blocks away to it. It was a good hour and a half trip to the coast.
