... the elevation map shows mostly downhill but it is rolling and by the time we get to today's stop I have 63 floors on the Fitbit. That's enough to reward me with a total of 2000 floors since I moved to the Surge Fitbit. Yay me! My butt knows I've done it!

We have become used to looking for markers on posts, walls, up high, down low and anywhere and they can simply slap on arrows. This town we pass through has professionally painted ones going down ...

... The sigh of relief once I get over it massive! The second one wasn't deep and I got through easily - even the muddy bit - but my shoes don't take water so it's stress free except for the sliding mud! Defo don't want to land on my butt! Would give Hedley his amusement for the day!

Simply disturbed a bunch of sheep who starred out us with green torchlight eyes! Gentle stroll down old Roman road sandwiched between old stone walls as ...

... girl! Had a few more to cross, though not deep, they were slippery as ..........careful stepping required. At the end of today we have completed 10% of our walk. No accidents please!

Crossed from the Sierra Norte into the Sierra Morena in an area called Extremadura. And the markers change. We can get yellow/yellow green/green or yellow/green. So we learn that all yellow means it's the Camino - all green IS the old Roman road and a mix is the Camino following the old ...

... to be a fat ass! One room of four beds and the rest are two - yay we took a two bed, means we can get up in the morning and turn on the lights to get going rather than dragging stuff out in the dark and under red torch lights to a communal area. Absolute window and power point control with no arguments can't beat that and the view is to die for. Tough day tomorrow and one place opens at 6am for breakfast. We will be there and so much easier ...
