... of the road. No mistake and seriously the village is so tidy I assume they want to keep it that way without the "Camino graffiti". Yesterday being some sort of holiday there are old fashioned street sweepers out. Yes! I mean men with brooms and buckets cleaning up the mess from yesterday. No mechanical sweeper here. We ask where the bar is open, they say none and indicate they are all sleeping. We laugh, sigh and move on to find a tiny bar open on the edge of ...

... not so for my buddy who said they came back after midnight and there was still carry on at 3am. But we wonder today if it didn't happen everywhere for everything is closed and we were hoping for a cafe break as we passed thru two villages on the way to Zafra today and plenty out running and on their mountain bikes. So maybe a holiday day before Good Friday.

... apparently we have choices which way to go. Today was all yellow/green but we defo look forward to doing the original road as we did last year. So much more interesting and more remote than the modern route.

As the sun breaks we see the mega mozzies for the (first) time this year. These ARE MEGA Mozzies. Their bodies are around an inch long. Bonus? -They don't bite.

Not long past dawn we were passing through ewes heavily in lamb. The poor girls are ...

... to be a fat ass! One room of four beds and the rest are two - yay we took a two bed, means we can get up in the morning and turn on the lights to get going rather than dragging stuff out in the dark and under red torch lights to a communal area. Absolute window and power point control with no arguments can't beat that and the view is to die for. Tough day tomorrow and one place opens at 6am for breakfast. We will be there and so much easier ...
