... annoying loud Americans and rude pushy eastern Europeans. One guy kept leaning into Megg, it was so weird. I just can’t believe how many morons there are who think if they stand up against you in a line they will somehow get there faster. NEWS FLASH: THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE IN A LINE DOES NOT REDUCE BY YOU PUSHING UP ON MY BACK! Maybe we are used to a little more personal space than other countries, but really, don’t touch me. The view was great but it was so so cold, so we had ...
Paris, Île-de-France, France benanna... waterskier. It was when traffic picked up at the outskirts of East Paris that the serial stalling started kicking in, and I soon had no choice but to pull into a little hotel whose sole virtue is a slow but free WiFi connection, thus allowing me a modicum of catharsis in the form of this post (alternative title 3: "When the going gets tough, the tough get nerdy").
Tomorrow I'll get a call back from my insurance brokers who will ...
... by the Louvre personnel, the doors opened at 9 and I was inside before 9:10. I also went to the Rodin museum and saw classic works like The Thinker and the Gates of Hell. I stayed in a very cute hostel in the Latin Quarter called the Oops! Nice digs, I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Paris.
Paris, Île-de-France, France unluckycharms13... The museum was so empty. We wandered around in the museum and left about 9:30ish. We wanted to see the Eiffel tower at night, because at certain times it sparkles. It was all light up blue, once again to look like the European Union flag. It looked like it was made out of plastic or legos, it looked so cool. We sat in the park a bit and relaxed, even though it was quite chilly. We saw a sight not so nice in Paris while we ...
Paris, Île-de-France, France hithere52... the Roman god of wine. Simple follow the flush-faced local producers who march through the streets brandishing the blue and yellow banner of the République de Montmartre, picking up singing supporters and tourists en route.

Paris, France eschipres... in good rugby spirit. Before the game and afterwards we spent the time in an Irish pub that was 5 minutes from our hotel. The Irish lads we met earlier in the week joined us there and they watched the game there too. It was great to have some good banter after the match - don't know if I would have felt the same if we had lost though. The atmosphere in the pub was full of cheer and celebration of several English supporters; we headed ...
Paris, France ronnied... back on my feet again, bumming around Paris. I finally checked out the Père Lachaise cemetary, and yes people, there really are quite a few more notables buried there than just Jim Morrison already! (and his isn't even that interesting after all that). It is quite a large cemetary, and actually it was disappointing to be reassured that the majority of artists I wanted to see had rather humble grave........ok Isadora Duncan, for example, was ...
Paris, France ashygagIf someone had told me six months ago that I would be taking a whirlwind tour of five countries in continental Europe for my mid-semester break, I probably would have just laughed and laughed like they were freaking crazy. But no, I'm here. And I am having a fabulous time. :o) So here I am in Paris! It was a reluctant goodbye to Antwerpen today... what a beautiful little town. And they speak Flemish there-- how cool is that? Anyway, we hopped on the train to Brussels, made a ...
Paris, France olsencv... the water; it looked amazing even from a distance. While near there we drove past a Kings palace, which later turned, into their prison (during the revolution I believe.) We went past the Musse du Louvre (The Louvre) and were told how if someone stared at each painting, or work of art in there, for 3 minutes (It think) it would take over 6 years to get around the place. We went past the Opera house that was built by King Louis. The Opera house was built on instruction of the ...
