      Next, we had lunch at a nice little restraunt on top of the Hill of the Cross. The hill overlooks Holguin, and is famous for a large white cross that sits near the top of it. The original cross was placed up there in 1790 by a Franciscan friar, and ever since, it and its successors have been viewed by the locals as a source of good luck ...

      ... ok... Then the bus arrives, is full up to a seat and I get in. Good. But just before leaving, my "friend" asks me, of course, for money to pay for his meal he had before. I gave him 3 CUC which is way to much, but I had to hurry and it was the only bill I had in hand. And then I remember, wait a second : some 30 minutes ago, I gave him 5Cuc to go by a drink and he did't gave me back the change!       This trip was a great relaxing vacation. The resort could have been nicer but it had a very relaxed vibe which was all that was needed.
