I am certainly not on a backpacker trail here. Even to the extent there are no hostels. I had to get a hotel room ( 2 star ) and pay a little more than hostel dorm prices. The 2 star here though is pretty good so I am not complaining ( too much)

I really enjoy the calmness of this place. I have been able to sit outside and listen to the birds in the morning. Akita is the perfect place to practice mindfulness and to rest your mind. I can't wait for the cherry blossoms. They say we have about another week!
