... pleasant. we cooked tea before boarding the ferry, this ferry is older than the one we arrived on and our cabin, an inside one isn't as comfortable, I find it a little claustrophobic and although we turned the ventilation up the temperature wouldn't drop below 27 degrees, may be were sleeping over the engine room where the men are stoking the fires!! The ferry set sail on time and we went to bed in our hard beds, as it's an early start, we dock in Piraeus at 6.00 ...

It's another beautiful day, we exercised Logan on the beach before driving to Chania. The route we took was over the hill back to Almyrios, we really like this area. We parked on the sea front for coffee, whilst waiting for the kettle to boil, Les noticed that there was a gash in the tyre wall, he decided it wasn't safe to continue driving on it and after coffee he changed it. En- route, we ...

Next a tatty car that was also very noisy came speeding along the track, the driver was pulling hand brake turns, what a racket! After 3 blasts along the track, the engine conked out, the peace was ...

... fallen rocks. Most of the mountain roads don't have any barriers, I'm glad Les is on the edge of the road and I feel much safer in the middle. Everywhere there are nets out under the olive trees to catch the ones that fall off in the wind. The trees that overhang the roads have nets sometimes as much a 3or 4 feet into the road, held down with large rocks. Most nets are black and blend in to the landscape, but occasionally there will ...

... along the pebbly beach back to the campsite.
After a nice hot drink we used the wifi again to compare some prices for our plans in the spring, we sat out in the last of the sunshine, the campsite owner asked if we were ok after the storm and offered us tea or coffee, but we declined.
The washing was almost dry as we moved back indoors to cook tea and plan where to go to tomorrow. We were expecting more rain in the evening, but the sky is quite ...
