We stopped at some site, bought our tickets and walking into a place where we had no idea where we were. Kathy says, “after all that, all I got was something about a 3 foot chicken with no wings”. I was successfully gone. Classic laugh/cry and down.

This morning we woke up in Chania, Crete. We had been to Crete some years ago but were on the other side of the island. It was OK then but it was nothing to rave about. I think that the photos are a pretty good representation of the majesty of the area but it is really difficult to portray that the mountains above us were hundreds of feet higher. Packed up and alarms set for a 4 number... YEP... A 4 Number!! Ready for what we hoped would not become The Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Travel Day! It was going to be quick and easy and we would be home in the blink of an eye!! ;)
