Rethymnon & Phaestos
Today we spent the morning in Rethymnon, a lovely town about 60km East of Heraklion. We like Rethymnon way more than Heraklion. There is a lovely market in the old town and a beautiful little harbour area whit loads of restaurants by the water. Highly recommended!!! ... feels like a small town, with a few cafe' and bars along the "high street" which leads you to the harbour where a pretty Venetian fortress stands tall and strong.
