    ... I hadn't planned to go ashore as I had visited before but I could certainly understand the disappointment of those who didn't get a chance.

    I ate on deck 9 at the back of the boat and then headed off to peace and a good book - thank goodness for my Kindle. It is very rough and hard to walk along the hallways but cosy in my little cabin number 6018 - perhaps I should have tidied it before taking a photo though!

    Our final day was spent wandering in the city. We walked on the ancient city wall and then bought a natural sponge from a fisherman. He assured us we wouldn't find a better quality sponge from anyone else! It was extremely windy that day - the harbor was wild with waves crashing over the Venetian wall.     Well the morning was overcast and there wasn't a sunrise but I was ready for it!

    By 09:00 we were up, fed, checked out, and taxied down to the ferry in a bit of a harem scarem way. Those drivers were nuts!! Honking and speeding and .. Did I mention speeding?!!
