One of few moderately priced hotels in Kinshasa

One of few moderately priced hotels in Kinshasa, and then only moderate for Kinshasa. Rooms are clean and have been freshened, but few windows will lock. Lots of mosquitoes on the pleasant grounds and in the reception area, bring your repellent. Rooms are sprayed daily, and air con works well. Pretty good wifi, but a strange ticket system to access it. Good restaurant, Belgian chef, food only a little overpriced. Reasonable value for money in Kinshasa.

This hotel is slowly being improved, and the room prices are rising with the improvements. The rooms have been freshened and are pleasant and clean. Air con worked well in our double room (306). The restaurant in the garden is pleasant and the food prepared under the guidance of a European chef.

    OK, improving

Improving slightly, about the best one can reasonably and safely do in Kinshasa. Like everything in this city it's overpriced and somewhat cobbled together. Staff is pleasant and helpful.

This morning started earlier than planned. We had planned a meeting of local leaders to discuss organization and needs for 10:00. At 7:30 my phone rang, someone was here to see me.

It was longtime member, going back to WCG days, some members here came to the church in the 1960s and are now old. This man had a poignant story to tell. About …

This morning I was ready to go at 8:30 as agreed, but things rarely happen exactly on time here and it was closer to 09:00 when Justin arrived with a car and driver. We bounced and swerved through the pockmarked streets, through clouds of exhaust and swirling dust. Along the way women were bent double, sweeping the streets in front of their houses …

    A REAL Congo Line......

... everyone come by and greet us. It was so nice. During the service there were several choirs and many different groups that got up to sing. While we sang, there was dancing and moving around. It was super loud and lively. During the offering time, the entire church (us included) actually did a Congo line dance around the entire building.....which was big. It was choreographed and everything. It was so ...
