Last day... Despite not being at school, I think we had to get up even earlier today! We met with Lisa and Andrea and took a taxi to Santa Ponsa to meet John. From there, we began our boat trip to the island of Dragonera, near the north west coast of Majorca. The trip was great - more views of the beautiful Mallorquin coastline, blazing sun and the wind in our hair. We stopped for a swim in the sea en route to the island and had a lunch on the boat - ...
... to contemplate my time here and start saying my goodbyes. For the evening, we had a quiet dinner to ourselves in a pizza place that had been recommended, and ended up trying out a few different bars afterwards (LAB, Idem, Prohibition) to see where would be best for my farewell drinks tomorrow. Suddenly going home feels very real and I'm not at all sure how I feel about it - really can't wait to see everyone... But was it long enough ...
... and had dinner at La Boveda, and stopped for "Spain's second best ice cream" in town. Palma held a "nit de art" (night of art) and was very very busy. A few galleries were open late and there were a few extra exhibitions. We stopped to watch a group of dancers and musicians fuse different types of dance including ballet, tap, flamenco and street. After all of that excitement, we had a final drink in Havana before bed - last day of school tomorrow - ...
We are still on the island of Majorca but have now moved to the coast. Cala D'or is the classic tourist destination. Lots of restaurants with overpriced bottled water (3.5 euros/bottle) and all the other tourist type of stuff. Its really beautiful though! My favourite part is the water, super nice blue colour just gets me all fired up to go swimming. Today we drove north and visited a castle. I dont ...
