... After dinner a few of us choose to save money and take our chances on the street bad move. It was all fine till we reached the corner our hotel was on we had people offering us drugs, yelling at us and trying to tell the girls to take their clothes off. Day 2 .1 - Across the Peloponnese by bus
... journey which was by local bus to Pylos leaving Kalamata at 15.00.
The remainder of the journey was along the old roads and took over an hour. The sun was beginning to set as we passed the new golf complex at Romanos and I saw my favourite view of Navarino Bay. There was no connecting bus from Pylos to Methoni so I took a taxi - costs always rising - between 10 and 14 Euros for an 11 km journey.
The sun was setting as I arrived at Methoni.
