Ligia and I will depart from New York on Dec 12th, to go to Chile, Honduras, and Malawi. We are not sure of where we'll go or what we'll do while in Chile...We'll just decide when we get there. We'll visit my sponsored child, Daniela, and her younger sister, Carolina, on December 16th. I've visited with them 3 times before (2003, 2004, and 2005). Daniela is now 17 years old, so it is my last year of sponsoring her.

Managed to get out of the hotel by just before 8, but after navigating Queens and Brooklyn traffic we probably lost a lot of our early start. Our Thursday performance was at Duke University in Durham, NC. The campus truly is beautiful, but like any school that believes more in sports and science than anything else, their theatre was falling apart. The stage was VERY old and uneven, which made building our set a bit tricky. Their Technical Director, however, toured with our company about 12 years ago... and with one of my cast members! Vi skal desuden ud og besøge en række finansielle institutioner, hvor vi skal komme
med købs- og salgsanbefalinger. Vi har fået at vide, at vi skal se dette som et 4 måneders langt internship og, at vi
helt klart kan skrive det på CV'et, da vi jo pricipielt skal arbejde.

... fag. Deres institut for finansiering er særdeles prestigefyld og er rangeret som det 7. bedste i USA, så jeg glæder mig til at komme rigtig i gang derude. Deres faciliteter er væsentlig bedre end på økonomi og auditorierne er sponsoreret af en lang række store banker etc. Jeg har købt mig selv en mountainbike for 86 dollars i Wall Mart, så jeg hurtigere kan komme rundt på campus. Der kører dog også en masse gratis busser rundt på campus, men jeg foretrækker at ...

... as we rode. This was the highlight of their day and free. Flight to Raleigh was uneventful and again departed and arrived early. With early flights and our unexpected savings, our trip has started on a good foot.

With the boys safely delivered to Nana and Grandpa's house for their own 2 week adventure, our Ecuadorian adventure can begin. I'm ready to hop in the car and head on out to the Airport. I'll see you in Ecuador.

... We're now sitting at the airport, waiting for our flight home, boo. Vacation already over, and tomorrow it's back to classes... oy. It was fun, I think North Carolina was nice :) Not as big as a city as Northwestern in Chicago (duh), but people here were very friendly. I'll see what I want to do :) Next travel is....
