    A morning in Monaco

A travel blog entry by drdave810 on Mar 21, 2015

... turtle, blacktip sharks, an angel ray (which neither of us had ever seen before) as well as some very cool jellyfish displays with lights that changed color. We also saw the first diving bell (made of wood!), scale models of the old masted research vessels, complete with a recreation of the specimen collection and logging lab from the 1800s.

We also saw the massive wood-paneled meeting room, or honor hall, that is used by the oceanographic society, ...

There is also a small flower/plant market and I LOVE flowers. One guy stood out with his arranging.
I also went to one of the fresh pasta shops recommended and picked ...

... by a grilled swordfish and duck breast. Over the course of our chatting with the waiter, it was revealed that we were celebrating Rufio’s birthday. Midway through our meal he asked for a name, and when our “chocolate soup with lollipops” arrived, the chef had decorated the plate and lit a solitary candle so Rufio could make his birthday wish.

Earlier in the day we purchased Cuban cigars, so we asked the waiter to recommend an open air bar to enjoy ...

    South of France: beautiful!

A travel blog entry by paulausman on Apr 16, 2014

... The water was so blue and clear and not a cloud in the sky. The one problem was that it was a hell of a walk back up. I was soaked in sweat!...and had to sit on a 30 minute bus ride back.

Once back, I went to see the old Fort that used to protect the "vieux port" (built by Louis XIVth) which provided another gorgeous view of the city. That's when I realized this city is built on a bunch of ...
