      ... wonderland, and there were people
      everywhere. We discover that the lights of the town had only just been turned on this weekend, and everyone had turned out for it.

      There was fairy lights everywhere, Santa, an ice-skating rink, ferris wheel, lots of market stalls, and lights projected onto the plaza buildings.


      All the kids could think about was Subway ...

      ... went off. It started softly and slowly built up until it was a roaring torrent. I woke him 4 times that night trying to dull him and he woke, rolled over, continued to snore louder and then repeated. I eventually gave up and spent the entire night on my phone reading a book while this was happening. Some time around 4 30 he got up again and went to the bathroom and he must have had the runs or something because the sounds coming from in there were inhuman. He was groaning and moaning ...

      ... and there were never any parking spaces in Nice to stop and look around. The traffic was crazy busy, many one way streets and we were getting frustrated. A decision to head to the airport where we knew we could at least follow the signs to the car rental. This trip was about 30min and we managed o find the road & the car rental return area. We explained as best we could to the returns lady who directed us to the counter inside the airport. She wrote on our forms & ...

      ... Guinness poster and Celtic lettering on a name that didn't sound wasn't so clear. I managed to find Promenade du Pailler on my way home - I had seen some great photos of it, full of fountains shooting randomly out of the ground.
