... palace was or where we were! I was also quite hungry, which from experience is not a good thing! To our luck, however, there was a restaurant nearby that turned out to be a great find! We walked in and got a table outside where we could decompress (driving in traffic is a bit stressful). David got the special curry chicken over rice and I got the special eggplant ...

We hit the road and drove an amazing 5 hour drive through about 300 tunnels past Monaco and around the Italian Riviera, left the French Alps behind, then headed North past Genova and Milan, then into the start of the Swiss/Italian alps, to our new home for the week, Menaggio on Lake Como.

I pretty much just hung out in the water until the weather started to turn and rain started coming down. I didn't visit any sights or museums but I think it was worth it.
