      ... Cathedrals is often the life work of a few generations within families.No doubt the construction of such would have been pivotal for much community, religious and political power struggles.

      So what of Cologne? I haven't researched this in depth but I would imagine that the French feel to the place stems way back to the roots of the Frankish Empire. Happy to be corrected on that...did I mention how good Steve Smith is going? Fair dinkum he will do ...

      ... we were ready to head back up to the carnival, a Polizei helicopter came flying over. We heard sirens across the river and could see some fluorescent emergency vehicles with flashing lights on the road above the river bank.       ... his house was not big enough for all of us to come at one time.
