... An interesting local ferry caught Victor's eyes, it had a long wire hooked to it from an overpass about 7 stories high, it just let the current of the river guide the ferry. The locals use them to cross to the other side of the river without walking all the way to the bridge. One would call the Fahrimaa with a bell from the landing stage. It was one of four ferries that cross the river that way. We had ...

We left Bellagio at 8am since we were unsure of turning in the car at the same train station we were leaving from. There are many train stations in Milan. All was ok. We actually went to McDonalds in the Milan Centrale station. McDonalds is so different in Europe. We ordered 3 pizzas for the ...

... red facade building built between 1504 and 1514. Further along the walk, we saw the Cathedral built between the 12th and 15th century in romanesque and gothic style. We even managed to get into the Museum of Culture, which was having an opening reception and we went in to check out their latest exhibition. There are many museums here. We walked for about 4 hours and after dinner at a local Swiss restaurant we came back to the hotel. Total steps walked today 15,827 or 7.3 ...

    ... afternoon.

  • I caught the tram to Bankverein and took a few snaps of the Tinguely fountain, a crazy fountain made of contraptions / mechanisms that spray water in every direction.
  • From there I walked to the Basler Papiermuhle (paper museum). It was rated as one of the top things do to in Basel. When I got there the entrance was 15 francs. I could be bothered paying that much and instead went and sat on the bank of the Rhein river just out front.
  • They ...
