... three of us were crammed shoulder to shoulder. I tried to stay awake so that I wouldn't feel horrible upon arrival in Kinshasa. I tend to do better staying awake at those wee hours instead of trying to grab a couple of hours of restless sleep. 23rd February My left foot had swollen up overnight, so I was limping, but my right knee was OK. I re-sorted my stuff, and then had a lazy day resting the legs. The 3 dayers came back looking the worse for wear - Danielle could hardly walk! I was on cookgroup, but luckily Amanda did the shop, as Victor and I were still stiff from the trek. Camped.
24th February On the road. We lost Dan (flying to ...

... husband Ryan from Cameroon. Lovely people so if you're ever in Limbe visit there cafe! We discussed the vision for Africa and the disappointment Africa feels in south africa...bit of a burden for one country me thinks! A very political day...later we met an artist, Bantu Freeman (I have a feeling that names for a bit of effect). He too was keen to discuss the political if Africa and the what SA is not ...
