When I eventually give up, I head downhill to the harbour where I have already marked the entrance to the one lane way which I know will lead me back to our hotel. I can barely remember the last time I slept in anything other than a single, or worse, two singles pushed together. I slapped on some lotion, grab my book and got my tan ...

... in, as if doing so would narrow the girth of the bus and allow us to pass unscathed. Somehow it worked and we arrived at the edge of the town safe and sound. We spent the next few hours wandering down extremely narrow cobble stone streets past steep stairways, pots of geraniums, and emerald green, turquoise and royal blue shuttered houses and buildings. Every now and then a fuchsia bougainvillea would spill down a wall or ...
