Arrived in Heraklion
... other (they're only having a conversation really!) and all sorts of airport staff sat in a long line wearing sun glasses and smoking cigarettes. We jump in a taxi straight away and for 12 euros we reach our Hotel. The city is only 4 kilometres west of the airport and it only takes 10 minutes to get there. Quite an entertaining short drive though...as while the car was making a persistent beep beep ...
Kreta
... uiteindelijk hebben we meer dan een half uur gewacht. Bussen opereren hier op Griekse tijd. Wanneer ze zin hebben. Wanneer we eindelijk terug zijn in Aghios is het al 12u30. We hebben dus nog een tweetal uur om het stadje te verkennen. Het is er klein maar gezellig maar veel is er niet te zien. We maken een hele rondwandeling en gaan uiteindelijk nog een half uur vroeger dan we moeten terug aan boord.
Hoewel het bezoek aan het eiland wel mooi ...

Later we moved on across the road to a sitting area where I continue this blog while listening to KISS and INXS again and Troy goes for a wander.
