    ... cheese. It was divine, as usual, but still not quite enough to topple the beautiful pizza from Eataly. 8.5/10. I also indulged in the leftovers of Marina’s pasta dish, a Cioccolata Fondente, and a gelato affogato and Limoncello after returning home.

    ... courtyard was packed like sardines with visitors trying to grope the breast of the bronze statue of Juliet, which is supposed to bring good luck. The crowd kept growing by the minute, so we didn't hang around long.

    ... Ristorante da Gemma in the village of Roddino, where we were treated to a Piemonte banquet, sampling the traditional dishes of the region. We started with some salami and assorted breads, followed by egg salad, veal, carne cruda (raw beef mince - surprisingly good!), taglialini, agnolotti, rabbit & goat.     ... Although the meal was not huge it was quite filling so I couldn’t fit in dessert. Eli got some sort of baked tart and Kyria got Tiramisu, which was apparently delicious. It looked good.
