... Camerota. On the on the way back down the coast, we spotted a statue, way up on top of one of the mountains and decided to go and find it !! It was the statue Il Redentore which was literally on top of the mountain, with a platform specially built for it, and the small church next to it, complete with a hair-raising bit of track on stilts to get up there. we travelled to San Giovanni and on arrival had some difficulty finding the hotel but after about 20 minutes and help from a local "Mama" we did, We had to bang in the door and the home tel and restaurant looked pretty closed. The best bit but also the weirdest was when the train itself boarded the ferry, then we were able to get off, have a beer, stretch our legs and enjoy the views across the bay. I have arrived! It was a long flight without too much sleep, but fairly uneventful. The first thing I met in Naples were stairs. In an airport, with two bags.
