... a relief, but finding the right road that leads to Pineata Maratea REsidence Resort was another issue. After a little excursion through the heart of this pretty, ancient hillside town, we finally found a sign that pointed towards the Pineata Maratea Resort...yahaoo! And after another 7 or 8 SERIOUS switchbacks climbing some 400 meters we were finally at our resort! Now we knew we could settle in for a few days and enjoy discovering the beautiful seaside area.
... and made our way to the vegetable market. OMG. What a truly beautiful, inside, clean, air conditioned store this was. The quality of all they had was perfect, so I stocked up with the rest of the supplies I needed, and we returned to Milena in just a little over an hour. Headed south and stopped at some Greek ruins in Paestrum which dated back to BC. Weather a little cold and rainy or we probably would have stayed longer. Took the scenic root to Marina di Camerota. Stopped at Bascillicata and had a late lunch at a little pizzeria. ...
