That is what I feel like this year. Every start is up up and up again and within 10 mins we are back to being the 3 drips again.....it is so hot and humid! Today's start was a bit different. After ringing around yesterday Gilles spoke to the lovely guy who handles the Italian side of the walks and I think he felt a bit sorry for us and have a feeling his friend Paolo, from where we stayed at Rocca, told him of our concerns. He organised for ...

... the wrong one! And crazy looks from locals when we told them where we had walked from...and this was only 2 hours of walking! Temperature rising, hottest July day for 10 years, well into 30's, climbed for 2 hours through rugged countryside finding the odd bit of yellow paint when painted on a rock or tree, at a beautiful hotel restaurant called a palazzo and plonked down, shoes off and lots of cold drinks. Took off ...

... the brain-powers and concentration of the room is stronger, so you'll get more done. I'm sure you can't put wires on people's heads and measure the amount of sleep-toxins or concentrated brain-waves being released from one body to another, but it is nice to consider. We humans like to think we're so different from one another - all 'individuals' and 'free' and all that, but ultimately we are still all intertwined, even if it's inexplicable. Even if it's not true, it's better ...
