My first week in Japan

... job to stay with her lonely aging father.

Hirota drove us to the train station and stayed there until the train took off. I thought I was going to a farm, when I arrived, Yuka told me he has no farm, only his tiny backyard we could probably weeding, we cut weeds one afternoon for 20-minutes, he was already out with
water and asked us to take a break, another 5-minutes, he said: "good job, well done" actually in English, and called it a day. It was amasing.

Dag 18 Kubiki theater

... staanplaatsten zouden krijgen.

Day 2- Imperial Palace, Ginza and Lemon Tea

... Buns that have curry in them that happen to be rolled in cornflakes, as you do. So wrong but Oh so right) we ate these and tried to feed some to the Koi that reside in a pondy thing in the middle of the garden but failed as they didn't seem to be keen. Today I bought some grape juice to see if it tasted like purple, as the fanta had seemed to, it did. Also bought some Lemon ice tea which was better than Aussie version. Oohhh and we heart ...

... their daily flow of activities without creating problems." You really notice that in the people here. Keli and I both have said several times that we feel at home here, we could even see ourselves living here. Don't worry, families! We aren't really going to live here, just describing that "home-y" feeling we have here!! It's been a very wonderful experience being around my wife 24x7 for the past week, and being together in a wide ...

Tales of Two Tarts in Tokyo

... I smiled as I waltzed over Hachiko Crossing (said to be the busiest pedestrian crossing in the world) and proudly thought of how far I had come since my first daunting trip to Osaka. Shibuya was just as I had imagined. Huge neon signs and TV screens mounted on shops, stacked upon shops, stacked upon shops, and so many people that you really had to concentrate whilst you were walking. My first stop was Tower Records. Someone had told me that you can buy absolutely ...

Kabuki! Sensoji! Tokyo Tower! Oh my!

... labyrinth of Tokyo station. Its like the size of a suburb, and the lines just keep on going lower and lower. Subway under Subway. Layer after layer, inwards and downwards. Every layer they strip, pioneers camped. The wet centre was bottomless. Oh Seamus! Lit was useful after all. I bet they have a subway circling the Earths core. It was so good to spend the day with people and actually speak English again. Awesome day. Yup yup. Awesome day. Fully. Danny

After the games we headed back to Shibuya to this great "British Pub" that Ty knew that sells good and pulls good pints. The girl from behind the bar was from Kielce, a small village south of Krakow in Poland where my friend Angela taught English for a year many years ago. We finished the night rather merry and got the last train home.

... Vuitton, and Abercrombie & Fitch tee shirts sold at one store. I really enjoyed one Japanese store where I found some traditional looking Japanese shoes, but upon telling the salesman that I have a size 9 foot, he laughed and said they didn't carry shoes that large. That night I went out to dinner in Kobe and again ate an unidentifiable meal. The next day I woke up early to take the bullet train to Tokyo. The train was fast and efficient. The trains are on a ...

... but thankfully we didn't spend hardly any!! It has become quite entertaining to watch Ad work the Subway ticket machines etc. She has jumped back in shock on numerous occasions when the machines suck the tickets from her grasp! She now throws the ticket at the mouth of the machines in order not to get sucked into it herself!! This doesn't hinder the machines from reading them however, backwards, forwards, upside-down....it matters not. They read them any way ...
